How much are your sales down? Companies with good skills, strategies and a solid market
position are not suffering. business may be down, but they're not

The irony is when business is hurting is the exact time you need to invest in yourself.

Someone skied into me two weeks ago, dislocating, fracturing and chipping my shoulder
leaving me, in addition, with a torn rotator cuff. In business, you may be feeling the
same pain. That's more clobbering than anyone should have to endure. Your business is
in your hands!
You don't have to sit and wait on the sidelines while the
economy, market and your competitors careen into you. You're not on the
ski slopes, so don't get clipped. It's painful and can be lethal.
Here are a couple easy steps to make sure you thrive even if others aren't...
- Reassess you product/service - Price is only a major concern
when prospects see no difference between you and your competitors. What are your
competitors missing that you can do...frequently at no cost?
- Make the changes! - Don't try to be everything to everyone;
that's a sure way to keep the losing streak going. Do, however, make the changes
that differentiate you so price isn't the focus. If there is nothing special about
you, why would anyone want to advertise with you?
- Develop your critical skills - If you are struggling in sales,
and sales is critical to your success, this is the worst place to save money. Think
about it... if your sales are decreasing, you're not saving money, you're losing
it by not doing something to change your course.
If you don't invest in yourself and your sales staff now, you'll
"save" yourself out of business.
Now more than ever, you need to know how to make sales easy and stress-free. Deny
yourself this skill and lose your business.
If you do what you've always done, you'll get the results you've always gotten. And
if business isn't good, don't sit on the sidelines watching yourself get clobbered.
